Joy to the World

December is my favorite month of the year.  The most important is the celebration of the birth of Christ.  It is a time for us to reflect on the year that has passed and the New Year to look forward to experience changes in our lives.  It is a time when you touch base with all your friends that live far or near to experience this joyous time of year.
Please keep in mind those who serve our country in the military and the families that support them.  Please pray for those military members who are wounded to heal and for the families that have lost a loved one to find peace in knowing that  in this great country we have the freedom to do as we please because of the sacrifices of those who have died for our country.
God Bless everyone!

Libby Dancing for the Cricut Circle Week 12 Challenge

Introducing my granddaughter Libby.  She is one sweet child.  She has been walking since she was 11 months old and her little legs and feet move at lightning fast speed.  Hope you enjoy this precious ballerina.

You can create any kind of project you would like . . . but here is the twist . . . there needs to be NINE of SOMETHING on your project. Nine of anything! Nine buttons, nine flowers, exactly nine letters in a title, etc. Just as long as their (there) is nine of something. Have fun!" +Project must be newly created for this challenge and must include at least 2 different cuts from any Cricut cartridge to qualify."
There are nine flowers from "recollections" chipboard surrounding the picture.  The word Future comes from the cartridge "Ashlyn's Alphabet."  The word Ballerina and the ballet slippers come from the “Shall We Dance?” cartridge.

Hope you enjoy and have a happy and safe holdiay.

Making Gingerbread Houses a Family Christmas Tradition

When my children were young and we were living overseas, I started making Gingerbread houses for our house and as gifts.  My children loved to decorate their own houses.  We had so much fun.
Now my daughter has two daughters.  My daughter, her oldest daughter, and I made a Christmas Gingerbread  village.  We had so much fun.
This is my entry for the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #10: Holiday Recipe Challenge.
The requirements are that a recipe is involved in the layout, and 2 different cuts from any Cricut cartridge.  The frame behind the picture is from Elegant Cakes.  Wording came from cartridges Christmas and Heritage.

Di's Crafty Flair

Welcome to my blog.  I am a "newby" to this process.  I hope to inspire others to the wonders of the many kinds of crafts.  I love to sew, scrapbook, work with clay - especially making flowers, crochet, and gardening.
